Punchout Specialist :: General Contractor
Punch lists are prepared at the end of varying construction and physical projects. At the end of a given project, the project coordinator composes a list of needed repairs before a project is considered to be at full completion. Punch out technicians complete punch list duties according to a project coordinator’s stipulations. A punchout technician may have experience in a certain field like carpentry, painting, or general construction.
General Construction
At the close of the project incidental or general construction may need to be completed before the project passes final inspection. General construction on the punch list includes light trim carpentry, door installations, framing, simple drywall installation and small quantity roofing repair. Other general construction also includes pouring concrete slabs and digging footers.
Painting
A punchout technician performs detailed painting in designated areas. He may also perform touch-up painting in areas overlooked during the duration of the project. These are usually small spaces or areas. General painting punchout duties also stem from areas that were not completed during the project for any number of reasons. For example, an area where floors were installed may have not been available during overall painting procedures.
Cleaning
When projects come to an end a punchout technician is responsible for general clean-up. Cleaning duties include freeing areas of debris, cleaning and storing equipment, and disposing of necessary waste.
